Matthew McConaughey says there’s “excitement” about a *True Detective* revival, but nothing’s set in stone yet.
He and Woody Harrelson have talked with series creator Nic Pizzolatto about returning as Rust Cohle and Marty Hart, but Matthew says it all depends on one thing: the script.
“When I first read *True Detective*, everything Rust said was white-hot. The script was on fire. If Nic writes something that’s that good again, it wouldn’t even be a choice. It must happen.”
Sounds like the bar is set high, and honestly, that’s exactly how it should be.
